Black Panther (2018) Review

After the demise of the Great king of Wakanda in the 2016 film Captain America Civil War, the title passes exclusively to his heir, T’Challa.

Produced by Marvel Studios, Black Panther is an American superhero film centered around the Marvel character  ”Black Panther”- the ruler of an  imaginary African land , Wakanda who gains his superpowers after consuming a heart shaped aromatic plant, circulated by Walt Disney Studios. The film is the eighteenth update of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and in its own self it’s unique and first of its own kind.

Ryan Coogler enters the scene as the director along with the script by himself and Joe Robert Cole. This film mostly features stars with black heritage .Chadwick Boseman plays the major role of T’Challa / Black Panther together with Michael B.  Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright As well as Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis  are the key characters of this movie.

Since the film is hugely animation based the filming took place in two major studios at EUE/Screen Gems Studios and Pinewood Atlanta Studios and South Korea from Jan to April 2017. The film is to be released on Feb 16, 2018.

Summary

Following up the happenings in Captain America Civil War King T’Challa returns to his motherland. Reigning a nation isn’t easy. Couple of enemies…namely Erik Killmonger a traitor banished from Wakanda who attempts to overthrow T’Challa  collaborate with some other to drag down the nation. Black Panther then has to join forces with a CIA agent Everret K.Ross along with Wakanda’s specials forces to prevent a world war.

Jordan as Erik Killmonger: Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia (T’Challa’s ExJ), Danai Gurira as Okoye, head of the Wakandan Special Force Dora MIlaje; Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi T’Challa’s bestie Forest Whitaker as Zuri; Angela Bassett as Ramonda T’Challa’s Mother, Winston Duke as M’Baku; Letitia Wright as Shuri; Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue will be taking up roles this time.

Black Panther is promised to be a whole new experience, so Marvel diehards get yourselves ready to watch one more awesome production from Marvel Studios.
